„Our experience and know-how in the area of plant clone research and the in vitro propagation of hemp plants guarantees an optimal generation of active ingredients and maximum yield for medical production. Our customers want hemp plants with optimal properties, and that is what we offer them.“
Managing Director Alexander Kristen
Medical Cannabinoids Research & Analysis GmbH (MCRA) is specialised in the cloning and breeding of hemp plants under high-tech conditions. Quality control and order analysis of the hemp plants are carried out in the laboratory in line with exacting technical standards. The company was founded in 2017 by entrepreneur Alexander Kristen and chemist and toxicologist Prof. Dr. Rainer Schmid.
Rainer Schmid was head of toxicology and medication analytics at Vienna General Hospital and was actively involved in drug prevention in the area of recreational drugs and their mode of action and dangers. Alexander Kristen has been managing the company Flowery Field since 2004. The company has been specialised in clone research and in vitro propagation of hemp plants for more than ten years. It is currently producing 25,000 hemp plants per week under laboratory conditions.
MCRA as independent research unit
Thanks to many years of basic research, Alexander Kristen has successfully achieved the in vitro propagation of cannabis plants.
This complex procedure guarantees that sterile and virus-free hemp plants can be produced without the use of any pesticides. This basic research is now being continued and further developed by Medical Cannabis Research & Analysis GmbH as an independent research unit of Flowery Field GmbH.
